Mosquito Hats

Mosquito hats are quite simply hats that have a length of fine mesh that hangs down from the brim to the neck of the wearer. The netting can then be gathered with a drawstring to keep bugs away from the face, ears and neck while outdoors. The netting attached to the hat helps to prevent mosquitoes and other insects from biting and preventing a potentially serious health risk. In addition to keeping the bugs away, a cape is attached that will cover the back of the neck and be a shield from the sun. If the cape is not needed it can be tucked into the hat itself.

Mosquito hats, while in the past were not always popular they can now be seen as almost fashionable, taking what the military once used to aid in combat and maneuvers, now serves the public well in preventing the spread of diseases from biting insects.
